Fur prices are on the rise providing a welcome dividend to trappers.  A recent story by National Public Radio reported that the US fur industry was worth $15.5 billion last year, a 45% increase over the last 10 years.  Demand and prices are expected to continue to increase.  Increased demand is being driven by Chinese, Russian and Korean consumers.  Market demand in Canada, Sweden and Switzerland also remains strong.
